Nadal vs. Djokovic in Miami final

MIAMI, April 1 (UPI) -- Rafael Nadal stormed to a surprisingly easy win over rival Roger Federer Friday to reach the championship match of the Sony Ericsson Open.

Waiting for Nadal in the finals will be Novak Djokovic, who has played 23 matches this year and has won them all.

Nadal improved his record to 15-8 against Federer with a 6-3, 6-2 victory that took a mere 79 minutes. Nadal, ranked No. 1 in the world, lost only 10 points on his serve and broke Federer's serve four times.

Djokovic won his semifinal against Mardy Fish 6-3, 6-1. Having moved into second place in the world rankings, Djokovic has three tournament victories this year -- including the Australian Open.

Djokovic defeated both Nadal and Federer while winning last month in Indian Wells, Calif.

Nadal and Djokovic met just once in 2010, with Nadal pulling out a four-set victory in the championship match of the U.S. Open.
