NHL: Philadelphia 5, Pittsburgh 2

PITTSBURGH, March 29 (UPI) -- Scott Hartnell and Claude Giroux scored 47 seconds apart in the second period Tuesday, boosting the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-2 win over Pittsburgh.

The goals erased a 2-1 deficit and Ville Leino added a pair of third-period markers for the Eastern Conference-leading Flyers, who extended their advantage over the third-seeded Penguins to four points.

Leino added an assist, Jeff Carter scored his 35th goal of the season, and Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 25-of-27 shots as the Flyers improved to 3-1-3 in their last seven games with six to play.

Alex Kovalev and Tyler Kennedy scored for the Pens, who saw their four-game winning streak snapped.

Marc-Andre Fleury made 19 saves for Pittsburgh.
