BOSTON, March 29 (UPI) -- Tim Thomas logged his ninth shutout of the season Tuesday, stopping all 32 Chicago shots in the Boston Bruins' 3-0 victory over the Blackhawks.
Thomas made 12 saves in the second period and 15 in the third, blanking the Hawks on a pair of power plays and raising his career record against Chicago to 5-1-1.

Zdeno Chara, Johnny Boychuk and Nathan Horton scored for playoff-bound Boston, which holds the third spot in the Eastern Conference playoff standings.
Corey Crawford absorbed the loss for the Blackhawks, allowing three goals on 34 shots.
The Hawks, who are clinging to the eighth and final Western Conference spot, fell to 1-1 on a three-game road trip which they will wrap up Friday in Columbus.
