PITTSBURGH, March 27 (UPI) -- James Neal scored in a shootout and Marc-Andre Fleury made 37 saves Sunday, keeping the Pittsburgh Penguins hot with a 2-1 win over Florida.
Neal sent a wrist shot past the stick-side of Panthers goalie Scott Clemmensen and into the net, securing the Penguins' sixth win in seven games.
Alexi Kovalev also scored and Fleury stopped Niclas Bergfors in the tiebreaker to gain the extra point, with which the Pens improved to 98 points and pulled within two of Philadelphia atop the Atlantic Division.
Fleury made 12 stops in the third period and two in overtime and Ben Lovejoy scored in regulation for Pittsburgh.
Ryan Carter found the net for Florida.
The Panthers' Tomas Vokoun played the first three periods, stopping 23-of-24 shots, but Clemmensen came in to start the overtime, making four saves.
