NBA: Oklahoma City 99, Portland 90

OKLAHOMA CITY, March 27 (UPI) -- Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook scored 28 points Sunday and the Thunder clinched a playoff berth with a 99-90 decision over Portland.

Westbrook also grabbed seven rebounds to go with seven assists and Kevin Durant struck for 21 points as the fourth-seeded Thunder strengthened their Western Conference playoff positioning with their 12th win in 14 games.

Serge Ibaka contributed 18 points and eight boards for the Thunder, who improved to 27-10 at home by breaking open a close game with a 7-2 run during the final 1 1/2 minutes.

Gerald Wallace poured in 40 points on 16-of-28 shooting from the floor for the sixth-seeded Trail Blazers. He also had seven rebounds.
