Webb rallies for LPGA Tour win

PHOENIX, March 20 (UPI) -- Karrie Webb made up a six-shot deficit Sunday to record a one-shot victory at the RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup, her second straight LPGA Tour title.

Webb shot a 6-under-par 66 at the Phoenix Desert Resort and Spa course for a 54-hole total of 204.

That was good enough to edge Paul Creamer and Brittany Lincicome, who shared second place at 205. Lincicome bogeyed the final hole and thus missed out on a chance at a playoff.

It was the 38th tour title for Webb, who also won in her previous appearance at the HSBC Women's Championship in Singapore.

Cristie Kerr finished alone in fourth at 206. Angela Stanford took a three-shot lead into the final round after firing a 66 on both Friday and Saturday. She stumbled to a 75 Sunday and finished in fifth place at 207.

All the prize money from this event will be donated to charity. Each player designated a charity prior to the start of the tournament and the money a player would have won will go, instead, to that charitable organization. Many of the players donated their winnings to the Japan relief efforts.
