Craig Smith provided 12 off the bench and Mo Williams added 11 for Los Angeles.

The Cavs, who lost for the sixth time in seven games, were led by 28 points and nine rebounds from J.J. Hickson.

Police arrested a knife-wielding man on the basketball court of the Staples Center about an hour before tip-off. Staples Center Senior Vice President Lee Zeidman told reporters the man and police engaged in an on-court standoff during which the suspect threatened to use his weapon. The man was eventually tackled near the Cavs' bench.

Police said no one was evacuated from the arena as a result of the incident and the game went on as scheduled.
