DALLAS, March 18 (UPI) -- Tony Parker scored 33 points to lead a big showing by San Antonio's top three players Friday and the Spurs held on to defeat Dallas 97-91.
The Spurs led by as many as 18 points in the second period and fought off a Dallas comeback that saw the Mavericks close within two with 7:30 to play. A 10-point San Antonio run gave the Spurs a 14-point advantage with 2:30 to go and wrapped up the victory.
Manu Ginobili had 25 and Tim Duncan scored 22 for the Spurs. San Antonio won for the fourth time in five games, captured the season series from Dallas 3-1 and extended its lead over the Mavericks in the Southwest Division to 7 1/2 games.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 23 for Dallas, which has lost three out of four. Jason Terry added 19 for the Mavericks.
San Antonio has 55 wins, six more than any other team in the NBA.
