MONTREAL, March 15 (UPI) -- Marcus Johansson's second goal of the game proved decisive Tuesday and the Washington Capitals stayed red hot with a 4-2 win over Montreal.

Johansson's first coal came 1 minute into the game. Brooks Laich and Mike Knuble also scored for Washington, which set a franchise record with a sixth straight road win and remained one point behind Philadelphia atop the Eastern Conference.
Braden Holtby turned aside 24-of-26 shots for the Caps.
Travis Moen and Andrei Kostitsyn found the net for the sixth-place Canadiens, who lost for only the second time in eight games.
Carey Price made 37 saves in a losing effort.
