NBA: Minnesota 122, Utah 101

MINNEAPOLIS, March 12 (UPI) -- Kevin Love's double-double streak reached 53 games Friday and his 24 point, 12 rebound effort pushed the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 122-101 win over Utah.

The Timberwolves have won two in a row and have moved past Sacramento in a bid to avoid having the worst record in the Western Conference this season.

Minnesota took a 25-point lead into the final period against a team that has struggled since making an unexpected coaching change. The Jazz are 3-9 since Jerry Sloan surprisingly stepped down and was replaced by Tyrone Corbin Feb. 10.

Michael Beasley added 23 points for Minnesota, which shot 54 percent from the floor and made 10-of-17 from 3-point range.

Gordon Hayward led Utah from off the bench with 18 points.
