NBA: Charlotte 97, Portland 92

CHARLOTTE, N.C., March 11 (UPI) -- D.J. Augustin and D.J. White combined to make four free throws over the final 5 seconds Friday, lifting the Charlotte Bobcats to a 97-92 victory over Portland.

Charlotte welcomed back Stephen Jackson, who had missed three games due to a hamstring strain. He scored 29 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and helped the Bobcats end a six-game losing streak.


Portland had won its previous seven road games.

Augustin made a pair of free throws with 5 seconds to go, putting Charlotte in front by three points. White added his foul shots with 3 seconds left. Both players scored 16 points and Gerald Henderson had 12 for Charlotte.

Portland was led by 20 points from Wesley Matthews.
