ORLANDO, Fla., March 7 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge scored 24 points Monday and the Portland Trail Blazers posted an 89-85 win over Orlando, which played without suspended star Dwight Howard.
Aldridge contributed a pair of baskets during 10-2 run late in the fourth quarter that lifted the Trail Blazers to their sixth straight road victory as they began a four-game trip.
The Magic committed 18 turnovers in the absence of leading scorer Howard, who was serving a one-game suspension after amassing a league-high 16 technical fouls. The all-star center has provided 23.1 points and 13.9 rebounds per game for the Magic this season.
Jason Richardson led the Magic with 22 points.
