TORONTO, March 2 (UPI) -- Mikhail Grabovski scored 42 seconds into overtime Wednesday to give the Toronto Maple Leafs a 3-2 victory over Pittsburgh.
The Maple Leafs ended a two-game skid and climbed within four points of Carolina for the eighth and final playoff position in the Eastern Conference.
Toronto twice came from one goal down and tied it 5:07 into the third period on Phil Kessel's tip-in, his 27th goal of the season. Kessel also delivered a one-touch pass to Grabovski on his game-winning goal.
Toronto had lost in a shootout to Pittsburgh Saturday.
Matt Niskanen and Chris Conner scored for Pittsburgh. It was the first goal of the season for Niskanen, a defenseman who was playing in his 49th game of the campaign.
James Reimer stopped 27 shots for the Maple Leafs.
Marc-Andre Fleury gave up all three goals on 20 shots in Pittsburgh's fifth loss in six games.
