NBA: Golden State 106, Washington 102

WASHINGTON, March 2 (UPI) -- Stephen Curry scored 29 points Wednesday and his free throw with 2 seconds remaining clinched the Golden State Warriors' 106-102 win over Washington.

The Warriors took a 17-point lead into the fourth period, and then snapped a four-game losing streak despite making only three field goals in the final quarter.

Nick Young had a chance to tie the game for Washington with 6 seconds to go but his 3-pointer misfired and Curry was quickly fouled. He made only 1-of-2 from the line but that was enough to wrap up only the eighth road win of the season for the Warriors.

Curry also had nine rebounds and five assists while Monta Ellis had 21 points and Dorell Wright 14 for the Warriors.

Young led the Wizards with 31 points. Washington lost its seventh straight.
