The Serb is looking for his first career ATP Tour win. He was a runner-up at 's-Hertogenbosch last year as well as at Moscow in 2009.

Meanwhile, del Potro had little trouble with the sole remaining American at Delray Beach, breezing past second-seeded Mardy Fish 6-1, 7-5 to reach his 11th career final.

The Argentine wild card fell behind 4-2 in the second set but rallied from there. The 22-year-old made the final in his first tournament since being sidelined for more than eight months last year with a right wrist injury.

A former U.S. Open winner, del Potro is 7-3 in tournament finals.
