DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki advanced Wednesday to the third round of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Wozniacki moved out of the second round when Anna Chakvetadze suffered a gastrointestinal illness and couldn't continue the match. Wozniacki was ahead 6-1, 3-5 when play was stopped.
If Wozniacki can make the semifinals -- two rounds away yet -- in Dubai she'll regain the world No. 1 ranking, which she lost Monday to Kim Clijsters.
