NHL: San Jose 2, Nashville 1 (OT)

NASHVILLE, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Patrick Marleau's goal 3:53 into overtime Tuesday handed the San Jose Sharks a 2-1 victory over Nashville.

Marleau came in on a clean breakaway after collecting a pass from Kent Huskins at center ice, launching a low forehand shot to the stick side of Pekka Rinne that eluded the Preds' netminder for the game-winner.

Antti Niemi turned aside 30-of-31 shots, improving his season's record to 18-15-3, and Devin Setoguchi scored for the Sharks, who bounced back from two straight losses to wrap up a seven-game road trip at 5-2.

Cody Franson got Nashville's only goal and Rinne stopped 48-of-50 shots for the Predators.
