NBA: Orlando 89, Los Angeles Lakers 75

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Dwight Howard scored 31 points and hauled down 13 rebounds for Orlando Saturday and the Magic posted an 89-75 decision over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Howard went 13-of-16 from the field, dished off three assists and blocked three shots for the Magic, who improved to 1-1 on a seven-game homestand.

Jason Richardson had 12 points, and Ryan Anderson and Hedo Turkoglu each contributed nine for the Magic, who held the Lakers to only 39.3 percent shooting.

Los Angeles, meanwhile, saw its four-game winning streak snapped.

Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum each ended with 17 points, and Lamar Odom added 15 points and eight boards off the bench for the Lakers.
