NBA: Los Angeles Lakers 113, New York 96

NEW YORK, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant scored 33 points in his annual trip to New York Friday, sending the Los Angeles Lakers rolling to a 113-96 win over the Knicks.

Bryant made 12-of-17 from the field and helped the Lakers break open the game in the second period. Los Angeles held a 14-point advantage at halftime and was not threatened over the final 24 minutes.

Pau Gasol chipped in 20 points for the Lakers and Lamar Odom had 14. Los Angeles has won the first four games of a seven-game road trip that will conclude next week in Orlando, Charlotte and Cleveland.

New York, which has lost four out of five, was led by Amare Stoudemire with 24 points. The Knicks have lost each of their last eight meetings with the Lakers over four seasons.
