Clijsters, Kvitova move to Paris finals

PARIS, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Kim Clijsters and Petra Kvitova will meet in the finals of the Paris Indoors after winning their respective semifinals matches on Saturday.

The two-seeded Belgian star rallied in the second set Saturday to down Estonia's Kaia Kanepi 6-1, 7-5, and fourth-seeded Kvitova ousted American Bethanie Mattek-Sands 6-2, 6-0.

Kvitova, from the Czech Republic, broke Mattek-Sands' serve three times and ended the match in just under an hour.

Clijsters cruised through the first firs set against Kanepi but Kanepi stiffened in the second. Kanepi took a 4-1 lead in the set. Clijsters broke Kanepi's serve at 5-4 to even the score. She went on to hold her own serve and break Kanepi once again en route to the victory.

The winner of Sunday's finals will collect a $307,000 first prize.
