NBA: Philadelphia 77, San Antonio 71

PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Jrue Holiday scored 27 points Friday, including four free throws over the final 22 seconds, to bring Philadelphia a 77-71 victory over San Antonio.

Tim Duncan made a layup for San Antonio with 2:28 to play that brought the Spurs within two points and they could not score again.

Philadelphia also went without a point over the closing 2 minutes until Holiday hit two foul shots with 22 seconds remaining. He made two more with 10 seconds left.

After Duncan's layup, San Antonio missed its final four shots and lost for just the ninth time in 53 games this season.

Holiday made 9-of-14 shots from the field and all eight of his free throw attempts. Spencer Hawes added 13 points for Philadelphia, which won for the fifth time in seven games.

Duncan led San Antonio with 16 points and 13 rebounds. The Spurs had won their previous four games and they fell to 4-2 on their season-long, nine-game road trip.

San Antonio made only a third of its field goal attempts and was 3-of-17 from 3-point range.
