NBA: Denver 121, Dallas 120

DENVER, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Arron Afflalo beat the final buzzer with a jump shot Thursday to give Denver a 121-120 victory over Dallas and end the Mavericks' 10-game winning streak.

The Mavericks surged to a 13-point lead early in the fourth quarter before wilting under a 42-point performance by Carmelo Anthony.

Nene went to the foul line for Denver with 33 seconds left and the Nuggets trailing by one. He could make only 1-of-2, however, leaving the score tied.

Anthony fouled Dirk Nowitzki with 20 seconds to play, but Nowitzki also could make just one of his two attempts.

Afflalo won it with his jumper off a feed from Chauncey Billups, ending a two-game skid for the Nuggets.

Anthony made 17-of-25 shots from the field. Billups had 30 points and Afflalo 24. The top three Denver scorers produced all but 25 of their team's points.

Jason Terry scored 25 points off the bench to lead Dallas. The teams combined to make 89-of-168 shots from the field in the up-tempo contest.
