VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Bobby Ryan's second score of the game gave Anaheim a two-goal lead early in the third period Wednesday and the Ducks held on to down Vancouver 4-3.

Anaheim ended a six-game Vancouver winning streak and left the Canucks one point shy of becoming the first team in the NHL to reach 80 for the season.

Anaheim took a 3-0 lead early in the second period on Ryan's backhander, but Vancouver rallied to within one on a power-play goal by Daniel Sedin with 12:38 left in the second and a score from Alex Burrows 5:42 into the third.

Ryan added some insurance just 28 seconds later and that goal turned out to be the game-winner when Ryan Kesler tallied on a wrist shot in the game's final minute.

Kesler has 32 goals this season, tying him with Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby for second place behind Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos. Crosby has not played since Jan. 5 due to a concussion.

Curtis McElhinney stopped 34-of-37 shots to win for the third time in four starts. Backup goaltender Cory Schneider, filling in for the flu-ridden Roberto Luongo, gave up four goals on 24 shots. Schneider lost for only the fifth time in 13 starts.
