COLORADO SPRINGS, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Jimmer Fredette led the way with 25 points Wednesday, sending No. 8 Brigham Young storming to a 90-52 mauling of Air Force.
Fredette, who went into the game as the nation's scoring leader with 27.6 points per contest, made 8-of-16 from the field and turned things over to his teammates while the Cougars were scoring 54 points in the second half.
BYU won its third straight since suffering a shocking setback at the hands of New Mexico last week. The Cougars are tied with sixth-ranked San Diego State for the lead in the Mountain West Conference and those two teams will meet in San Diego Feb. 26.

Tom Fow and Michael Lyons had 11 points each for Air Force (13-10, 4-6).
