NHL: Toronto 5, New York Islanders 3

UNIONDALE, N.Y., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Tomas Kaberle ignited a three-goal outburst in the third period Tuesday and the Toronto Maple Leafs stunned the New York Islanders 5-3.

With the game tied 2-2 after two periods, Kaberle put the Leafs ahead for good with a wrist shot from the left circle 2 1/2 minutes into the final frame.

Nikolai Kulemin and Fredrik Sjostrom followed with markers to nail down the victory, the Leafs' fourth in five games.

James Reimer allowed three goals on 34 shots, Colby Armstrong added a goal and two assists and Darryl Boyce chipped in with three helpers for the victors.

Matt Moulson, Michael Grabner and Rob Schremp tallied for the Islanders and Mikko Koskinen absorbed the loss in his first NHL game, yielding five goals on 26 shots.
