With his team trailing by two, Martin hit a jump shot while being fouled by Al Jefferson. After Martin's free throw gave Houston the lead, the Rockets survived a jumper by C.J. Miles with 3 seconds to go.

Martin scored 22 points, Kyle Lowry had 16 for the Rockets and both Luis Scola and Aaron Brooks produced 14.

Paul Millsap, playing with a dislocated finger, had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Utah. It was the eighth loss in 10 games for the Jazz.
