COL BKB: Kansas 88, Texas Tech 66

LUBBOCK, Texas, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Marcus Morris scored 18 points and Thomas Robinson added 17 Tuesday, boosting second-ranked Kansas to an 88-66 spanking of Texas Tech.

Morris went 8-of-13 from the field, Robinson grabbed nine rebounds and Markieff Morris hauled down 12 boards to go with 11 points for the Jayhawks (21-1, 6-1 Big 12), who picked up their third straight win.

Robinson capped a game-opening 10-2 run with a layup and, after John Roberson scored for Tech, Brady Morningstar connected on a 3-pointer to put Kansas up 13-4 -- and the Jayhawks never looked back.

Roberson paced the Red Raiders (11-12, 3-5) with 24 points while Mike Singletary chipped in with 12 and eight rebounds.
