PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Andre Iguodala scored 24 points for Philadelphia Sunday and the 76ers used a big third quarter to defeat the Denver Nuggets 110-99.
Iguodala also recorded seven assists. Thaddeus Young came off the bench to knock down 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting and grab seven rebounds for the Sixers, who notched their fourth win in five games.
Elton Brand scored five of his 15 points during a 12-0 third-quarter run that put the Sixers up 67-55 shortly after halftime and paved the way for their victory.
Denver, meanwhile, saw its four-game winning steak snapped and fell to the Sixers for the third straight time.
Chauncey Billups pumped in 27 points but Carmelo Anthony was held to 12 points on 3-for-12 shooting in the Nuggets' loss.
