NHL: Philadelphia 4, Chicago 1

CHICAGO, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Philadelphia's Jeff Carter scored twice and Claude Giroux added three assists Sunday in the Flyers' 4-1 victory over Chicago.

Carter scored after a scramble in front of the Blackhawks net in the first period and made it 3-0 in the final frame when he batted a low pass from Giroux out of midair and into the Chicago net.

Carted added an assist and Nikolay Zherdev and Scott Hartnell also scored to support Sergei Bobrovsky, who stopped 30-of-31 shots in a rematch of last season's Stanley Cup finalists.

The victory broke a four-game losing streak for the NHL-leading Flyers in Chicago stretching back to 2006. They lost all three games of the Stanley Cup Finals played at United Center last year.

Marian Hossa scored on a penalty shot for the Blackhawks' only goal and Corey Crawford made 30 saves.
