COL BKB: Texas 74, Kansas 63

LAWRENCE, Kan., Jan. 22 (UPI) -- J'Covan Brown netted 23 points Saturday and No. 11 Texas knocked second-ranked Kansas from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 74-63 victory.

Jordan Hamilton added 17 points and pulled down nine rebounds and Cory Joseph donated 11 points and nine boards for the Longhorns (16-3, 4-0 Big 12), who overcame a double-digit, second-half deficit for the win.

Tristan Thompson added 12 points and six rebounds as Texas snapped the Jayhawks' 69-game home winning streak and won for the first time at Allen Fieldhouse.

Tyrel Reed scored 17 points for Kansas (18-1, 3-1), which was held to 35.9 percent from the field and collapsed during a long scoreless stretch in the second half.

Marcus Morris added 16 points, grabbing seven rebounds, and twin brother Markieff Morris was held to 10 points for the Jayhawks.
