SUNRISE, Fla., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Dominic Moore's goal in the third round was the only tally of the shootout Friday and gave the Tampa Bay Lightning a 2-1 victory over Florida.

Stephen Weiss was stopped by Tampa Bay's Dan Ellis to open the third round and Moore then jammed the puck past Tomas Vokoun. It took a video review to make sure Moore had not scored on a rebound.

Tampa Bay won its third straight, all the victories coming in a shootout. The Lightning increased their lead over Washington in the Southeast Division to three points.

Both the regulation goals came in the first period. Cory Stillman scored 50 seconds into the contest for Florida and Steve Downie tied it with 5:55 to go in the period.

Ellis made 29 saves to pick up his first win since Dec. 26. Vokoun took the loss with 20 saves.

Florida has lost three straight, but all of them went past regulation.

The Panthers completed a six-game homestand and earned at least a point (3-0-3) in all six.
