PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Wesley Matthews scored seven points during a game-closing 16-3 run Thursday that lifted Portland to a 108-93 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Both Matthews and LaMarcus Aldridge scored 28 points in Portland's fourth straight win.

Portland took a 13-point lead into the fourth period only to see the Clippers close to within two with 4:30 to play. The Trail Blazers then pulled away to halt the three-game Clippers winning streak.
Rudy Fernandez added 17 points for Portland and Andre Miller had 15. The Trail Blazers shot 56 percent from the field.
Los Angeles was led by 35 points from Eric Gordon and 20 from Blake Griffin.
