NBA: New Orleans 100, Atlanta 59

ATLANTA, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Chris Paul led New Orleans with 16 points Friday and the Hornets held Atlanta to its lowest production in team history while downing the Hawks 100-59.

The previous low point total for the Hawks had been 63 against Cleveland Nov. 19, 1996. Atlanta made only 23 percent of its shots in the second half and 29 percent for the game.

Atlanta was within one midway through the second quarter and then scored just 30 points over the last 30 minutes.

David West and Marco Belinelli both added 15 points for New Orleans, which has won seven straight games.

Jamal Crawford delivered 14 points off the bench for Atlanta. The Hawks had won their previous two games.

Atlanta had 13 fewer field goals than did New Orleans, 11 fewer free throws and 23 fewer rebounds.
