ATLANTA, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Dominic Moore scored in the fourth round of the shootout Thursday and Steven Stamkos had two regulation goals, bringing Tampa Bay a 3-2 victory over Atlanta.
Moore put a fake on goaltender Ondrej Pavelec before putting a backhander into the net, giving the Lightning their second straight shootout victory. The Lightning have won their last 10 meetings with the Thrashers, five of those decisions coming this season.
Atlanta twice took a one-goal lead, but each time Stamkos tied it and boosted his goal total for the season to 37. He has the league scoring lead by five goals over Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby, who continues to miss time while recovering from a concussion.
Dwayne Roloson made 27 saves to get the victory.
Pavelec stopped 29-of-31 shots in what was Atlanta's fifth loss in six games.
