NBA: Charlotte 83, Chicago 82

CHICAGO, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Stephen Jackson scored four crucial points in the final minute Tuesday, preserving the Charlotte Bobcats' 83-82 victory over Chicago.

Jackson's 14-footer with 47 seconds left gave the Bobcats the lead for good at 81-80 and he added a pair of foul shots 11 ticks later.

Derrick Rose, who pulled the Bulls to within a point with a basket after Jackson's free throws, missed a potential game-winning shot at the final buzzer, allowing Charlotte to hang on and snap a three-game losing streak.

Jackson ended with 12 points, D.J. Augustin added 15 points and five assists and Gerald Wallace grabbed 16 rebounds to go along with 13 points for the Bobcats.

Rose poured in 33 points and Ronnie Brewer chipped in with 12 points as the Bulls played without Carlos Boozer (ankle injury) for a second straight game.
