NHL: Toronto 3, Los Angeles 2

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Nikolai Kulemin scored a third-period go-ahead goal and the Toronto Maple Leafs withstood a late challenge Monday to post a 3-2 victory over Los Angeles.

Kulemin scored on the rebound of a Mikhail Grabovski shot 5 minutes into the final frame and the Leafs got through a 6-on-4 Kings onslaught in the final minute to emerge with their fourth straight road win.

Darryl Boyce and Phil Kessel found the net for Toronto and rookie goaltender James Reimer raised his career record to 3-1 since being called up from the minors, stopping 30-of-32 shots.

Wayne Simmonds and Michal Handzus scored for Los Angeles, which lost for the fifth time in six games.

Jonathan Quick made 25 saves for the Kings.
