HOUSTON, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge touched off a fourth-quarter rally Wednesday and the Portland Trail Blazers beat Houston 103-101 for their third win in four games.
The Trail Blazers faced a 12-point deficit early in the final period but came back to even its swing through Texas at 1-1. Portland fell to Dallas Tuesday.
Aldridge scored 10 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter and made two free throws with 5 seconds to play that gave Portland a four-point lead.
After Kyle Lowry brought Houston within 102-101 by hitting a 3-pointer with 3 seconds to go, Andre Miller hit 1-of-2 foul shots for the Trail Blazers. Courtney Lee missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer that would have given the Rockets the win.
Patrick Mills added 14 points for Portland while Nicolas Batum, Marcus Camby and Dante Cunningham all had 10.
The Trail Blazers overcame a one-man show by Kevin Martin, who scored 45 points for the Rockets. Martin made 13-of-15 from the foul line in Houston's third straight loss.
