Augustin hit a jumper with 1:17 to go in the extra period to give the Bobcats a six-point lead and they held on for the win despite not scoring another point.

Michael Beasley missed a 3-point attempt at the buzzer that would have sent the game into a second overtime.

Neither side could score in the final 54 seconds of regulation after Augustin made 2-of-3 foul shots to tie it. Minnesota held an eight-point lead midway through the fourth period.

Charlotte won on the road for the first time since Nov. 12 at Washington.
