IOWA CITY, Iowa, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Jared Sullinger's double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds led second-ranked Ohio State past Iowa 73-68 Tuesday.
The Buckeyes (15-0, 2-0 Big Ten) held off an Iowa (7-7, 0-2) rally in the second half that pulled the Hawkeyes as close as three points.

Jon Diebler scored 14 points and David Lighty had 12 for Ohio State, which has won 24 of its last 25 games dating back to February 2010.
Melsahn Basabe led Iowa with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Jarryd Cole and Matt Gatens both scored 14 for Iowa, which led 35-29 at halftime.
The Hawkeyes shot 42.4 percent from the field to Ohio State's 55.4 percent. Iowa was 11-of-14 from the free-throw line while the Buckeyes made 4-of-9 from the line.
