NHL: Vancouver 4, Dallas 1

DALLAS, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Both Daniel and Henrik Sedin scored during an assault on goaltender Kari Lehtonen Friday, pushing the Vancouver Canucks to a 4-1 victory over Dallas.

Lehtonen has fallen into a rare slump over his last two starts, surrendering six goals to Detroit and four to the Canucks. Andrew Raycroft replaced Lehtonen after he gave up the four goals on just 14 shots.

Daniel Sedin and Raffi Torres scored 47 seconds apart in the first period. Henrik Sedin and Kevin Bieksa continued the offensive surge in the second. Three of Vancouver's goals came on the power play.

Counting Detroit's late-game onslaught against Dallas this week, the Stars gave up 10 unanswered goals before Brenden Morrow tallied early in the third period.

Cory Schneider made 44 saves to get the win, Vancouver's fourth straight.
