LOS ANGELES, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Al Jefferson led Utah with 31 points Wednesday and the Jazz scored nine straight early in the fourth period to put away the Los Angeles Clippers 103-95.
Los Angeles built an early 11-point lead but could not hold on in its bid for a third straight victory.

Jefferson grabbed 10 rebounds while Gordon Hayward had 17 points and Deron Williams had 16. Utah's 9-0 run gave it a 13-point lead with 7:19 to play.
Blake Griffin paced the Clippers by hitting 13-of-20 shots and scoring 30 points.
Utah maintained a half-game lead over Oklahoma City at the top of the Northwest Division.
