NBA: Philadelphia 123, Phoenix 110

PHOENIX, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Jrue Holiday touched off a key rush to end the third period Wednesday and scored 25 points, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 123-110 decision over Phoenix.

The 76ers are 3-3 on an eight-game road trip.

Phoenix, which is in the midst of a season-long, four-game losing streak, had an 84-81 lead with 3:18 to go in the third period. Holiday's layup started an 11-2 run to close out the quarter and the 76ers pulled away in the final 12 minutes.

Andres Nocioni had a season-best 22 points and 12 rebounds for Philadelphia. The 76ers played without Andrew Iguodala, who missed his second straight game with a sore right Achilles tendon.

Steve Nash led the Suns with 23 points and 15 assists. Vince Carter scored 18 points in his Phoenix debut.

Carter was out of action for four games with a sore knee after being acquired in a six-player trade with Orlando Dec. 18.
