NHL: New York Rangers 3, New Jersey 1

NEWARK, N.J., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Henrik Lundqvist allowed only a first-period goal and stopped 43 shots Wednesday in leading the New York Rangers to a 3-1 win over New Jersey.

The Devils have lost six in a row and 11 of their last 12. With a win Wednesday by the New York Islanders, New Jersey became the only team remaining in the NHL this season with fewer than 10 victories.
