ATLANTA, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Josh Smith and Al Horford teamed to score 43 points and grab 25 rebounds Wednesday, lifting the Atlanta Hawks to a 103-93 victory over Golden State.
The Hawks have won four of their last five and have captured nine straight at home.
Smith led the way in scoring with 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Horford, who had been averaging nine rebounds a game this season, had 15 of them to go with his 21 points. Joe Johnson contributed 16 points and Mike Bibby had 15.
Golden State came up short in a bid for its first four-game winning streak in almost three full seasons. The Warriors have lost six of their last seven road games.
Golden State was led by Dorell Wright with a career-best 32 points. Atlanta held a narrow lead for most of the final three periods and stretched it to as many as 12 points midway through the fourth quarter.
Johnson moved into 10th place on the all-time Atlanta scoring list, passing Lenny Wilkens.
