MIAMI, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Dwyane Wade connected for 40 points Tuesday, going 13-of-16 at the free throw line in the Miami Heat's 106-98 victory over New York.
Wade's point total was a season high and he grabbed nine rebounds for Miami, which won for the 15th time in 16 games.
LeBron James and Chris Bosh each chipped in with 18 points and 10 rebounds and Zydrunas Ilgauskas contributed 14 points and 10 boards for the victors.
Amare Stoudemire led the way for the Knicks with 30 points and Wilson Chandler ended with 21 points and six rebounds.
Stoudemire scored at least 20 for the 16th straight game, the Knicks' longest such streak since Patrick Ewing's 17 straight in 1994.
