NBA: Houston 97, Los Angeles Clippers 92

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Kevin Martin's four free throws in the last 16 seconds ended a Los Angeles comeback Wednesday and lifted the Houston Rockets to a 97-92 win over the Clippers.

Houston won its fourth straight game and finished off a perfect three-game road trip. The Clippers had been trying for their first four-game winning streak of the season.

The Clippers fell behind by nine early in the fourth period, but Al-Farouq Aminu was fouled attempting a 3-point shot and he made all three free throws to bring Los Angeles within one.

Martin's free throws put the Rockets in front by three and, after Blake Griffin missed a 3-point attempt, Martin made two more foul shots.

Martin scored 28 points and Luis Scola had 22 for the Rockets.

Griffin led the Clippers with 24 points and 18 rebounds for his 17th consecutive double-double.
