COL BKB: Ohio State 92, Oakland 63

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Deshaun Thomas helped Ohio State put on a late surge Thursday that led the No. 2 Buckeyes to a 92-63 victory over Oakland.

Ohio State had only a 10-point lead 6 minutes deep into the second half but finished the game on a 42-23 run.

The Buckeyes remained unbeaten in 12 games this season. They were the only one of the eight unbeaten teams remaining in major college basketball to compete Thursday.

Jon Diebler and David Lighty both had 13 points for the Buckeyes, who went 10-of-18 from 3-point range.

Oakland (7-8) was paced by Travis Bader with 17 points. The Golden Grizzlies are 1-3 since they surprised Tennessee Dec. 14.
