COL BKB: Syracuse 93, Drexel 65

SYRACUSE, N.Y., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Kris Joseph led Syracuse to a strong showing at the start of the second half Wednesday and the No. 5 ranked Orange stormed past Drexel 93-65.

Syracuse made 11 of its first 12 shots to open the second period, winning for the 13th time in as many games this season.

The Orange went into the night as one of eight unbeaten teams in major college basketball.

Joseph scored 25 points, Scoop Jardine added 21 and Rick Jackson had 15 points to go with 12 rebounds. The Orange shot 64 percent from the field. Joseph was 9-of-12 and Jardine hit 9-of-10 shots.

Drexel (8-2) had won its previous six games. Garald Colds led the Dragons with 16 points.
