COL BKB: Brigham Young 72, Weber St. 66

OGDEN, Utah, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Jimmer Fredette poured in 28 points Tuesday, fueling No. 23 Brigham Young's 72-66 non-conference victory over Weber State.

Brandon Davies added 10 points with eight rebounds for the Cougars (11-1), who fell behind early but went up at 9-7 on Charles Abouo's jumper and never trailed again.

The Cougars got back on the winning track after UCLA dealt them their initial loss Saturday.

Scott Bamforth put in 17 points for Weber State (6-5), while Kyle Bullinger chipped in with 12 points and 13 boards in the loss.
