NHL: Atlanta 6, Toronto 3

TORONTO, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Tobias Enstrom and Freddy Modin scored two goals apiece Monday and the Atlanta Thrashers took over the Southeast Division lead with a 6-3 win over Toronto.

Enstrom contributed a pair of assists and Anthony Stewart added a goal and a helper for the Thrashers, who won for the fourth time in six games to bypass idle Washington atop the division with 43 points.

Ondrej Pavelec stopped 37-of-40 shots and Andrew Ladd added an empty-net goal for Atlanta.

Leafs netminder Jonas Gustavsson was yanked after yielding five goals on 18 shots. James Reimer came in to finish the game, making four saves.

Mikhail Grabovski tallied a goal and an assist for Toronto, which dropped its fifth game in seven tries.
